On December 16, 2014 Peter Goss served on the faculty of A Checklist Approach to Civil Litigation at the Minnesota CLE Conference Center in Minneapolis. The program follows the observation of Atul Gawande, surgeon and author of the best-selling book The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right, that “checklists seem able to defend anyone, even the experienced, against failure in many more tasks than we realized.” In his presentation, “Eight Keys to Working with Expert Witnesses,” Goss discussed best practices for selecting and preparing expert witnesses to testify at trial.
