Blackwell won the landmark victory for 3M Company in the federal Bair HuggerTM MDL, securing dismissal of one of the 10 largest multidistrict litigations (MDLs) in the country. He also won a complete defense verdict for 3M in the first product liability MDL bellwether trial in Minnesota Federal District Court. Blackwell has also won jury verdicts in jurisdictions around the country, including some considered “judicial hellholes”, such as St. Louis, Missouri, Los Angeles County, and Madison County, Illinois.
Most recently, Jerry Blackwell secured Minnesota’s first-ever posthumous pardon for Max Mason, a black man who was falsely accused of raping a white woman 100 years ago.
