Firm Founder Jerry W. Blackwell Named a BTI Client Service All-Star for Providing the “Absolute Best” in Client Service

Firm founder and chairman Jerry W. Blackwell has been named a 2013 BTI Client Service All-Star.  The honor recognizes those who provide the “absolute best” in client service among attorneys representing Fortune 1000 companies. The BTI Client Service All-Stars list annually recognizes attorneys who, according to Fortune 1000 companies, drive superior client service. Only approximately 300 attorneys receive this recognition nationwide each year.  This is the second time that Mr. Blackwell has received the honor.  For more details about the 2013 BTI Client Service All-Stars, please visit BTI Consulting Group’s website.

The BTI Consulting Group is a market leader in research about law firms. The 2013 BTI client service research team interviewed general counsel at Fortune 1000 companies and their direct reports to identify attorneys who lead in client service nationwide. The attorneys who were most often praised for their client service during the interview process were deemed BTI Client Service All-Stars.  The annual process is independent.  No firm can nominate an attorney or submit client names.

“We are honored to be one of a few boutique-sized firms to be represented on this list,” said Mr. Blackwell.  “Everything that I do in my litigation and trial practice is part of a team effort.  I believe this recognition then rightly belongs to the entire firm.  It is evidence of our firm wide commitment and dedication to our clients.”

Mr. Blackwell serves as national counsel and national trial counsel for major corporations including General Mills, Inc., and ConAgra Foods, Inc.  He has received numerous honors, including: being a Benchmark Litigation Star; being named Minnesota Attorney of the Year; receiving the Minnesota Minority Business Owner of the Year Award; and the Minnesota Equal Justice Award. In 2011, Governor Mark Dayton appointed Mr. Blackwell to serve as an at-large member of the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection.  He is a founder of the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers.
