In its continued commitment to advancing equality in the delivery of legal services, Blackwell Burke P.A. was proud to sponsor the Equal Justice Works dinner in Washington DC.

Each year, Equal Justice Works honors lawyers who exemplify the values of compassion, dedication and commitment to achieving equal justice for individuals and communities in need. The annual dinner has become one of the largest fundraising dinners in DC hosted by a legal nonprofit. It raises critical funds needed to support its programs that mobilize the next generation of lawyers committed to equal justice. The organization addresses a broad range of critical issues from AIDS/HIV to veterans’, women’s, and workers’ rights.

Blackwell Burke was one of more than 1,100 friends and supporters who came together from all walks of the legal community to honor the Equal Justice Works Fellows and present the Scales of Justice Award to former Board member, the Honorable Sven Erik Holmes, vice chairman and chief legal officer at KPMG LLP. The dinner raised more than $3 million.
