The American Bar Association’s LGBT Litigator has published Blackwell Burke P.A. attorney Emily A. Babcock’s article analyzing November’s favorable election results for same-sex marriage. Her article, entitled, “Same-Sex Marriage: Redefining the Movement,” parses the voting results from Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington state and argues that the change in public acceptance of LGBT marriage rights supports a strategic shift for the marriage equality movement. Emily A. Babcock joined Blackwell Burke P.A. as an associate in 2012. Ms. Babcock is a summa cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, where she served on the William Mitchell Law Review.
