Blackwell Burke P.A. partner Peter J. Goss is having a good year both in the courtroom and outside of it, if the awards and accolades he has received are any indication.
Goss was recently named to the prestigious Lawyer of the Year 2018 ranking in the Mass Tort Litigation/ Class Actions – Defendants area. The designation is awarded to one lawyer in one region and one specialty by U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers®. It is the publication’s most distinguished accolade.
“What’s important is the work we do for our clients,” said Goss. “It’s an honor to be recognized, but I didn’t do anything special to earn it. This is really more a reflection of the great work that the entire firm has been doing over the past year.”
Goss was also named to the 2018 Minnesota Super Lawyer list. Goss is joined on the Super Lawyer list by firm founder and chairman Jerry Blackwell, partners Corey Gordon, Benjamin Hulse, Mary Young, and special counsel Mike Hatch.
Goss was also recently invited to join the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel organization. Founded in 1920, the IADC is an elite, invitation-only group of approximately 2,500 leading corporate attorneys worldwide. Members are partners of large and small law firms, senior counsel in corporate and insurance law departments.
Goss was nominated by two IADC members, peers outside the Blackwell Burke firm, and went through a rigorous vetting process before the invitation was issued.
The IADC is actively committed to enhancing the development of skills, professionalism and camaraderie in the practice of law.
Peter Goss focuses his national practice on pharmaceutical and medical device product liability and toxic torts. He has represented major pharmaceutical medical technology and chemical firms in hundreds of cases. He collaborates with leading experts to present complex medical and scientific evidence, both in dispositive motions and at trial. He is a frequent commentator on legal developments of interest to his clients.
