Blackwell Burke team walks to help end breast cancer

At Blackwell Burke we care about our community and strive to give our time, money, and talent in ways both large and small. We are passionate about supporting non-profit organizations that make a difference in our community and in the world.

Our team participated in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Mall of America. The group, consisting of employees and their family members, walked to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise money to fund life-saving breast cancer research, patient services and education and to raise awareness about steps people can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.

The walk raised more than $200,000. The money raised will continue to help fund groundbreaking research and even helps to provide services such as free rides to chemotherapy, free boarding at local hotels near treatment centers and a live 24/7 cancer helpline for those directly affected by cancer. Making Strides is the largest network of breast cancer events in the nation.

We at Blackwell Burke are honored to participate in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and are grateful for the important work the American Cancer Society does helping millions of people.
